Audere (Latin): To Dare! To Venture! Audere dares the senses to experience the rich harmony between boldness and elegance.

Back by popular demand — and bolder than ever. The 2022 Audere Red Blend is a showstopper, blending power, elegance, and a touch of flair. With only 328 cases produced, this best-selling favorite (31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 22% Petit Verdot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 8% Malbec) was barrel-aged 23 months in 90% new French and Hungarian oak, delivering serious structure, bold extraction, and a full-bodied mouthfeel. Sourced from our Rockwell Ridge estate at the top of Crystal Springs and premium Napa sites like Coombsville, Atlas Peak, and Silverado Bench, it bursts with dark cherry liqueur, black currants, violets, and finishes with mocha crème brûlée decadence. Oh—and yes, the rumors are true: the label glows in the dark.

“...the 2022 Audere Red Blend is seductive with fleshy, more expressive, dark red and black fruited character. Juicy, ripe and complex, the wine…is full-bodied, with a beautiful, round, rich complexity that over-delivers for the price. This one is a no-brainer. Buy it!” — Anthony Mueller

“The 2022 Audere…opens to an inviting aromatic profile which reveals fresh black cherries and blueberries, alongside a touch of warm spices, mocha, sage and hints of toasted oak. On the palate it unfolds with deep concentration, offering a full-bodied, plush texture that feels almost silky, gliding effortlessly to a long, refined finish. This is both decadent and elegant, balanced by a sense of restraint and finesse. Ready to enjoy now, it also has the structure to evolve beautifully over the next decade. An outstanding value in this vintage from Hertelendy.” — International Wine Report, 94 Points
