Explosive elegance. Estate excellence. The 2022 Signature Mountain Blend is Hertelendy’s closest expression to an estate wine, crafted primarily from our ultra-premium Rockwell Ridge vineyard—planted in 1993 at the top of Crystal Springs AVA. This bold blend of 73% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, and 5% Petit Verdot also features ultra premium fruit from Atlas Peak, Coombsville, and Silverado Bench. With limited production and soaring critical acclaim—hailed as “The Petrus of Napa Valley” — this powerful, expressive wine is ready to make a grand entrance from our estate to your cellar. Impress your wine connoisseur friends with this mind-blowing, small production (132 cases produced) wine they’ve surely never had before!

“...the 2022 Signature Mountain Blend is fresh, rich, and round, with a generous
frame of fruit and oak that blossoms with complexity and freshness, displaying
elegance, grace, and power. With a full-bodied mouthfeel, this beautifully rich and ripe red blend will be a blockbuster upon release…Bravo!” — Anthony Mueller, 98 Points
“The 2022 Hertelendy ‘Signature Mountain Red Blend’…combines Merlot and Cabernet Franc, offering pencil lead and blackberry compote on the nose alongside Turkish coffee notes. The palate is seamless and powerful with serious tension and richness. Generous and drinking marvelously now.” — Owen Bargreen, 96 Points
“This 2022 Signature Mountain Blend is an excellent showing…On the palate, it reveals a full body, with lovely concentrated flavors backed by big, muscular tannins. It retains a nice level of freshness that lasts through the lingering finish. Harmoniously blending strength and grace, it is already stunning in its current form, yet should also offer a drinking window that spans well over a decade. — International Wine Report, 95 Points
